Review: Runner’s World Calendar 2013

Keeping my running motivation high with a wall calendar.

Fairy’s Runner Corner

I am a big fan of wall calendars – you know, the ones with a theme and dramatic photos gracing just above every month when it’s hung. I’d get one every year and hang it in the kitchen, a practice I picked up from Mom. Every now and then I’d scribble important events in the date boxes. I am old fashioned and homely that way.

This year I decided to get the much coveted Runner’s World 2013 calendar. However due to a shipping glitch I only received it on the 25th of January. So I basically only have less than a week to enjoy the beautiful wintery scene afforded by the first month of the year.

I decided to hang the Runner’s World calendar just below my race medals for extra oomph and motivation. Here’s a preview of what the calendar is all about, with short notes on what I love about it.

Runner’s World 2013 calendar review – in a nutshell

A closer look at my January. Most of my runs were social LSDs. 🙂

The verdict: I love this calendar, it is a beautiful thing to look at every day. Each month is literally a new running discovery as it takes you through tips, inspirational quotes and stunning landscape views. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves running!

If I sweat, I write! As a young adult in my twenties, I led a relatively sedentary lifestyle before I had an awakening in 2011. I was overweight by age 30 and finally decided to turn my life around, so I started to reclaim my health back by losing 20 percent of my then body weight by playing dance and fitness video games! I've not looked back since and now happily lead an active lifestyle. If you want to get in touch with me, please email me at fairy[at]myindo.com or DM me on Instagram @myindo. Thanks for stopping by!
